Nuovo virus influenzale di tipo A(H1N1)

Ad aprile, si sono registrati in Messico casi di infezione nell’uomo da nuovo virus influenzale di tipo A(H1N1), precedentemente identificato come influenza suina, mai rilevato prima nell’uomo. Il 24 aprile, l'Oms ha allertato i governi sui possibili rischi connessi alla diffusione di questa nuova influenza nell'uomo e al suo potenziale pandemico, alzando rapidamente il livello di attenzione per la preparazione e la risposta a una pandemia influenzale. L'11 giugno, l'Oms ha portato il livello a 6 su 6, dichiarando il periodo pandemico della nuova influenza, cioè l'aumentata e prolungata trasmissione del virus nella popolazione in numerosi Paesi del mondo, L'Oms ha sottolineato il carattere "moderato" di questa pandemic. Crisis Unit

Vaccination against the new flu
The best weapon of prevention is vaccination of the population. The measure identifies the categories of persons to which it is the offer of influenza vaccination with pandemic H1N1 vaccine from the time of the actual availability of the vaccine (the delivery to the regions and autonomous provinces is planned for the period 15 October to 15 November 2009 ) to cover at least 40% of the population residing in Italia.In order of priority will be given to offering vaccination:

women in the second or third trimester of pregnancy;
people at risk, aged between 6 months and 65 years;
people aged between 6 months and 17 years, not included in the preceding paragraphs, on the basis of the technical updates of the information or authorized by the EMEA will be provided by the National Health Council;
people between 18 and 27 years, not included in the above paragraphs.

In base alla disponibilità di vaccino pandemico nel corso della campagna vaccinale potranno essere inserite nel programma anche altre categorie di soggetti.
Con riguardo alle vaccinazioni delle donne in gravidanza, ai soggetti dai 6 mesi ai 17 anni e alle covaccinazioni, verrà emanata una successiva Ordinanza dettagliata a seguito del Parere del Consiglio Superiore di Sanità.

Sorveglianza
È stata rafforzata la rete di sorveglianza epidemiologica e virologica Influenza (the network Influnet) to allow the collection of information and virus samples for the early recognition of influenza cases and the subsequent adoption of public health measures.
